Desert Series 600k day 2 - SoMo Vistas 200k

Hot day in the 90's again. Got to ride this route for the first time! Pretty nice route.
Pre-Ride Report Items:
1. The Highly Lively plague is there in the pictures. Easy to miss.
2. The roads through Laveen were nice, yet a few spots allow Dobbins were down to only 1-lane in each direction with small shoulder. Steve A and I agree that we will leave this section in the route as is for a Sunday ride day.
3. I suggest we add cue about water at mile 49.5 / 74.1 at the old entrance station to the park.
4. I suggest we add cue or LMN that there is NO water once past mile 50.7.
5. I checked Google if there was a big party planned for Tempe Beach Park on Mar 7 ( ride0day) and it said no. Therefore the hassle I had of finding a detour will not exist.
6. Add cue for mile 107.4 for water & RR at Tibshraeny Family Park by volleyball area.
7. Mile 113.3 can we ride on west side of canal? Smoother trail but maybe private?

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
