Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was the coldest yet of the past few months. It is apparent that winter is soon upon. I wore 2 base layers, knees and arms, skull cap, and full-fingered gloves. I should have brought my face-mask. Next time for sure. My legs felt good today from the beginning. The winds were from the north, but very mild. Perhaps that had something to do with good legs in the first 10 minutes. I cruised my way to the top of the descent, I kept a good tempo and was sufficiently warmed up by that time. The descent was mostly soft-pedaling. I had to cover my lower face with my hands due to the cold temperature. I reached the bottom in good time, all things considered. The return trip wasn't that bad from the perspective of exhaustion. My legs weren't heavy, but I could feel the effects of the cold temperature and the extra gear that I was wearing. IE, more friction from the arms and mostly knee warmers. I made one, not so big, but punctuated effort over the loop monument. Overall, my body felt good for the entire climb. Ailments were next to zero. Concentration was good on the way out, but not so great on the ascent. Balance felt good for the most part. Gear is working well. Other notes, the charity app worked well today. I checked it 2 times. Once, before the descent to Keene and the other when I was at the base of the climb. I set my phone to increase the display sensitivity which allowed for use while wearing my gloves. I had to set the phone to "swipe to login" mode. Otherwise, I would have hand to remove my gloves for fingerprint authentication. There were more than 5 people at the loop monument. I wasn't expecting there to be anyone given this weather. It turned out that there were 2 trains. One going up the loop, and the other coming down the loop. A bit of a rarity.
