Chose to do an easier ride due to a planned longer and harder ride Sunday (5th). This ride did not turn out good at all. Weather was perfect: mid to upper 50s, sunny and minimal wind. Started from Indendence River Park. First 10.7 miles to Suver then the Highway 99W intersection had a couple short hills and a nice downhill. Slight crosswind on Suver Rd to Highway 99W. Brief stop then came the 14-mile segment on Airlie Rd to the Kings Valley Highway intersection. Snack break at Kings Valley Highway junction then headed north toward Dallas. Rode 1 mile and just before the Monmouth Highway intersection noticed a speeding white pickup headed west on Monmouth Highway toward Kings Valley Highway. Did not think the driver would stop so I slowed considerably 20-30 yards before the intersection. Driver barely stopped then proceeded to turn left southbound on KIngs Valley. I started to speed up, assuming the driver saw me and would stay stopped. Wrong assumption. Driver made impact with me and the bike. Knocked me off the bike into the highway. No obvious fractures, but a rapidly-swelling right kneecap and significant left-foot pain. Ambulance transport to West Valley Hospital in Dallas. Provided a ride back to my vehicle at Independence Park and then drove home.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
