They didn't predict rain today, but it did. I woke up and the streets were wet. So, a good day to ride indoors. I wanted to ride for about an hour. Today is my recovery day. I chose map that had about 500 feet of elevation gain and 15 miles. MyWhoosh had a map in Belgium that seemed interesting. After getting everything set up, I hopped on. I started modest, under 100 watts for about 7 to 10 minutes. Then I increased my tempo slightly. I put the wattages down on the climbing segment. Other than this climb, the course was mostly flat with some rollers here and there. The scenery was nice. I was doing in and out of the saddle efforts for most of the ride. The body responded well. I think there were a few hundred riders on this map. After crossing the finish line, I cooled down till the body reached 112 BPM.
Concentration was good. Perhaps a bit of impatience. I was in the zone most of the time and I had a few things to think about. Balance and form was good. Ailments were next to none. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, half a banana, and some grapes for breakfast (just before hopping on MyWhoosh). I drank about half my sport drink, no water. Gear worked flawlessly. Although, I have to adjust the rear shifting. It's a bit labored in the mid cassette region. Other notes, there were a few hundred riders on this map.
