Trans-Florida Rail Trail & St. Sebastian River Preserve State Park

Numerous times while driving north on 95 I have seen the bridge that crosses over 95 that says Trans Florida Railroad Trail. I always said I was going to ride over it one day. Well, today was the day! The trail is short, but they are working on expanding it. The St. Sebastian River Preserve State Park is also right there so I rode up the gravel road in that park. It is mostly for camping and hiking, but it was good to add a few miles on and have the bonus of real Florida views. On my ride, I saw a swallowtail kite, a deer, and two wood peckers that flew along next to me for a little bit. The thing I was most amazed to see was cattail plants. I haven’t seen those since I lived in Kansas!

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
