Makarska-Imotski and back again

Two days ago I took a ferry from Sumartin to Makarska. Yesterday I rode my bike a couple miles south to a secluded beach called Nugal.

Today was another unloaded ride to a town called Imotski on the other side of the mountain from Makarska. It was great; just touristy enough to have a some good restaurants for lunch. The place was a suggestion from my old neighbor, Bruce. He sent me some AOL articles about 4 amazing places in Croatia. Imotski has two or three adjacent sinkhole lakes and some fortress ruins. It was very peaceful, a little cooler weather, and reminded me of being at a national park. On the way, I passed a nature preserve called Prološko Blato where a lake seasonally overflows into the surrounding fields.

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail).
