The weather is a bit warmer, but very comfortable. In the mid / upper 70's, winds from the North West. A good day to go to Keene. I was accompanied with Peggy. We stayed together as best we could and did the regroup at the landmark approach. I wasn't paying attention to the time at landmarks as I normally do. We cruised the downhill. I put in digs on the risers. We stopped at the Loop Monument to take selfies. Peggy turned around at the Lower Loop. I went to the base and headed back. The legs felt pretty good. I had a nice tailwind on the way back. I was doing in and out of the saddle efforts to keep the momentum going. I felt better in the morale after making it to the second dip. Even more so when I made it to the bridge. Peggy was waiting at the top when I got there. After cresting the summit, we regrouped and headed back home. I shut it down at the top of Weston.
Concentration was good. The company helped. The morale was good going into the ride. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual hand soreness. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal with half a banana before departing. Gear worked flawlessly for the both of us. Other notes, there were tourists at the Loop Monument when I was on my way back and I saw one cyclist on his way back as I was descending.
