The weather has cooled down a fraction. It was around 70 degrees when I got out. Winds from the North West. The legs felt pretty good to start. I lowered the saddle by less than half an inch or so. It feels good. Hopefully that will help with upper quad cramping that I get once in a while. I made it to the top of OTR in good time. The Banducci Wall had traffic mitigation. I was near max going over the top. I was able to better focus on the Alpine Forest climb. The landmarks went by quick. I was near max going over the top. I made my way around the backside. I had fun on the descent. After making it to the top of Banducci I pulled over to recover and let traffic by. Soon after, I headed back down the mountain. It was safe. I think there was a car or two from behind. Descending off the Banducci Wall was a treat. The wind was cooperative. I made my way to OTR. It was mostly fun and games. The air was nice and cool. I pushed over Mariposa and to the top of Weston where I shut it down.
Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about, the morale was good and patience was in check. Balance and form felt good. The lowered saddle height allowed me to sit further back in the saddle. Will see how it does this weekend. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, half a banana and some grapes for breakfast. Ailments were minimal. Just the usual hand soreness. The joints and muscles cooperated. Gear worked flawlessly. Other notes, no cyclists today.
