Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

They predicted hot weather, and they were right. I wish I could have gotten up a bit earlier, but it wasn't too late when I got out. Temperature was in the 80's when I got out. Winds from the North West. I wore the standard summer kit. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the top of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation, so I was on 6 O'clock alert. I was near max going over the top but had matches remaining. I recovered on the flat segment and kept good tempo going for the remainder of the climb. After reaching the summit, I took a few moments to recover and let traffic by before heading down the mountain. The descent was safe with no traffic from behind. I kept my speed in check for on-coming cars safety. The trek to SS was moderate tempo. No heroics. I made my way around the backside and then into the descent. I put in a sprint on the downhill. I had to feather the brakes for oncoming traffic safety reasons. I stopped at the local park to take a quick bio break and then got back on the road. I passed the tunnel in about 1:06 hours. I stopped at the local mini mart to mix a sport drink and then got back on the road. The return trip through the farmlands was mostly moderate tempo. I made it to Boss Hogs in about 1:30 hours. So, I gave up 3 to 4 minutes on the return. The last climb went quick. I tried to keep it no less than moderate tempo while doing in and out of the saddle efforts. After cresting the summit, I pulled over to feed a Clif Bar with some water. Shortly after, I got back on the bike and made my way to Route 202. Route 202 had some traffic mitigation. I let a bunch of traffic by before heading down the road. There was some traffic from behind, so I let them by as best I could. I safely merged onto left turn lane and then to OTR. The descent off OTR was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa but had to stop to swap out my GoPro camera battery. I made my way to the top of Weston and shut it down.
Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about and the morale was good. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Just the sensation of fatigue and some hand soreness. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, half a banana, and some grapes for breakfast before departing. Gear worked flawlessly. The K-edge GPS / GoPro mount is working perfectly. Other notes, there were some friendly motorists, one familiar recumbent cyclist, and a familiar walker.
