The weather is getting colder. In the upper 40's when I got out. Winds from the North West. It was a good average day. I had a tough time getting out of bed, early. I looked out the window and the sky was clear. I decided to scratch the in-door ride and head out to Keene instead. I wore the full winter kit. I made it to the summit of the descent in average time. Cruised the downhill. Mostly soft pedaling. I reached the base in less than average time. I spared no time to turn around and headed back. The legs felt ok. Not too sluggish. It took a mile or two for the climbing legs to show up. I was actively thinking about the landmarks. Along the way, I decided to remove my jacket and skull cap. I'm glad I brought me extra bag. Most of the climb was moderate tempo. And, the bigger efforts on the stepper slopes. Concentration was good. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, next to none. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, I saw 1 cyclist on his way down as I was ascending.
