Group of 10 set out from KHMS to NW of Sycamore for a metric. Sunny, cool low humidity start with NW winds of 5-10 mph. Two groups separated about 5 miles out with Shaun, Lee, Jeff L, Angie, Jason N, Tim F, Greg O & Rick S taking the lead while Rick R and I dropped back. Everyone detoured from the original route to the Tipps Cookie Emporium in Sycamore for a terrific cookie stop (5-star rated!). Rick and I arrived just as the last three from the first group were departing. Headed out of Sycamore to the northwest on Brickville, Aldrich, Pleasant Hill and Base Line Roads, all of which were scenic, low traffic and in good condition. Final stretch after the Burlington BP stop was on the Three Sisters (Peplow, Meredith and Dauberman) back to Kaneville with a short routing on Harter back to the stop. Great day in the saddle with (finally!) great summer weather.
