Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Billed as 40 EASY miles to get a few more Loiterers interested, it worked! 13 left Uxbridge for 11's at Dorney GC (Garden Centre not Golf Club). Chatting to Sandra on route and I missed my turning but arrived okay. The place was quite crowded but all got something to eat or drink. Comments that Fifield was not very far were raised but I hadn't planned the direct route.
Somewhere on route John H left to do his own thing. We arrived at the pub nice an early and a table reserved for 12 awaited us(I had phoned them from Dorney GC with numbers) The menu was very varied and the service reasonable and we managed to leave by 1.45pm!
The route back went via Paley Street and White Waltham with a little section of off road, no real mud. Cliff had been suffering in the morning with something rubbing on his back wheel. As we hit the metalled road cliff was nowhere in sight! He eventually arrived with Brian the backmarker, (thank you Brian) claiming he cycled a lot with Dave Peck and they never go off road, . Alas Cliffs rear wheel was now virtually immobile! Various attempts at clearing out the crud with a butter knife (Who carries a butter knife with him!) failed to get the wheel rotating, it was decided the wheel had to come off the bike! Easier said than done!
Wheel off and butter knife wielding Cliff set to work cleaning out the junk, mud, sardine cans etc and we were soon back on the road and heading to tea at the Rose and Crown Stoke Poges but by now various people had taken their leave. Just as we arrived Alan G turned up on his even fatter bike (bigger back tyre). Tea drunk and goodbyes said the remaining few headed off home.
Not too cold a day and overcast but a pleasant day on the bike and a solid 61 miles door to door for me. Thank you all for your company.
