Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

The weather is nice. A bit on the warm side, but the air was on the cool side. It was around 80 degrees when I got out. Winds from the North West. I wore the standard summer kit. The legs felt ok to start. My right hip was a bit sore, so I kept an eye on it. I made it to the top of OTR in average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. So, I was all eyes and ears. I was near max going over the top. I recovered on the flat segment and then the remainder of the climb that I was doing moderate tempo and continued traffic mitigation. After cresting the summit, I pulled over to recover. I let traffic by and then headed down the mountain. It was safe with just a few oncoming cars. No one from behind. Going through the farmlands to SS was steady tempo. No heroics. I made my way around the backside and then to the descent into town. I put in a good sprint on the downhill, reaching 40 MPH. I stopped at the local park for a bio break and then got back on the road. I passed the tunnel in about 1:07 hours. I stopped at the local mini mart to mix a sport drink and then headed back. I put it in cruise control on the way back through the farmlands. I passed Boss Hogs in about 1:33 hours. So, I gave up 6 minutes on the return. The last climb went quick. I was keeping moderate tempo doing in and out of the saddle efforts. After cresting the summit, I pulled over to recover and fed a Clif Bar with water. Then I made my way back to Route 202. Route 202 had minimal traffic mitigation, so it was safe. Descending off OTR was mostly fun and games. I pushed over Mariposa and then to the top of Weston where I shut it down. I decided to add a lap around the neighborhood to best 30 miles.
Concentration was good. The morale was good and I had stuff to think about. Balance and form felt good. Nutrition was good. I had a bowl of oatmeal, half a banana, and some grapes for breakfast. I drank about one and a half sport drink bottles and some water with a Clif Bar. Ailments were so so. My right hip was hinting on soreness at the beginning of the ride. So, I was careful not to over exert it. Fortunately, it did not escalate. But, I could feel it while grinding big gears on the climbs. That and while in a tuck position. Other notes, no cyclists today.
