Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Well, it was our turn in Golden HIlls to experience a power shut down. It lasted over a day. The power came back on today around noon. I was able to get out for a quick ride. The gut as a bit sore. I think I had a kind bar that tipped it in the wrong direction. I feel a bit better now. Having lunch. The ride went well, I completed it as I wanted. It was something to get under the belt. My HR strap was sliding down my chest, so I ended up removing it about half way up the climb. No ailments other than my GI feeling sore. Gear worked great. Concentration was ok, could have been better. Other notes, no cyclists today. The wind was from the South East. So, I had a headwind on the way back, up the mountain.
