With the woods too wet to ride trails, thanks to the remnants of Isaias, a pavement ride (but with puhlenty of towpath and road gravel) was required. Lovely fall day, once the clouds moved the rest of the way out. Temperature in the low 70s with a warm sun when it was out. Still working on the legs, and they're coming, slowly. Next ride should involve a few more longer, bigger climbs. But the body felt pretty good. Contact points held up, though the riding position on the pavement bike needs some work. Amazing how fast you forget that stuff. Noodled around Poolesville at the end just to get a few more miles. Towpath was ... damp to wet in places but rideable. Gravel roads were better, albeit with pothole puddles. As much as I like dirt, it was good to get back on pavement at 18.6, ending 14 miles of no pavement.
