Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I looked at the weather report yesterday and it said no rain for today. So, I was 100% in for an out door ride. The wind wasn't going the right direction for a SS ride. So, I decided to go up to the Alpine Forest and see how I felt after reaching the summit. I didn't get the clothing right, but I wasn't exactly a popsicle either. I decided not to wear toe warmers or long gloves. My fault. Lesson learned. The legs felt good from the start. I was warmed up by the time I reached the end of OTR. I made my way up Banducci. Some traffic mitigation there. I made my way up the Alpine Forest. I found a comfortable tempo I sustained till Lemans. From there, it was the effort over the steep kicker. After that, made my way to Banducci. Thinking to myself, what do I want to do next. I had it in me to go further. The only thing stopping me was the cold and the strong wind going the wrong way. As I was making my way to Banducci, I was thinking if I had anything I could put on my feet to keep them from getting too cold. I had some rubber gloves in my saddle bag, so I decided to put them on my feet. It worked like a charm. They fit quite comfortably. The difference was noticeable. I was no longer in the pain zone. I headed to the top of Banducci and pulled over at the summit. I assessed the wind conditions. It was prevalent, but it wasn't extreme. I decided to go for it. I decided to go to Pellisier and head back from there. The downhill was fun. The wind wasn't too turbulent, so I wasn't in any danger. I was able to practice my tuck. I reached over 40 MPH. The trek through the farmlands was more or less what I expected. A harsh headwind or cross-wind. I had to lean into the cross-winds and keep the head down on the headwind sections. I tried not to pay too much attention about how far I had to go. I made my way to the Boss Hogs landmark. From there, I just kept in mind that the last climb will have some shelter. I was having to get out of the saddle to counter the strength of the headwind. I made my way to the base of the climb and pulled over to swap out camera batteries. The last climb as mostly into a headwind, but there was a section that had a nice reversal of the wind. No pushes over the summit, I just kept the tempo going. The false flat was mostly moderate tempo and some recovery. Route 202 was mostly traffic mitigation. After that was OTR, mostly fun and games through Mariposa and the last dig up Weston (going into a strong headwind). Concentration was good, all things considered. Some lapses, but not too bad. Ailments were mostly cold soreness. Balance and form was good. Gear worked great. The GoPro batteries were consumed faster than I anticipated. Not sure how much coverage I lost. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
