It snowed over night. There's still snow on the ground. By the time I got up from my nap, the road dried up. But, I decided to ride in-doors, nonetheless. I wanted to do the map of the day. But, I wasn't sure of the route. I decided to explore a bit. I did the Greatest London Loop. It's similar the mountain loop route, but more climbing. I had to restart Zwift because the software wasn't picking up the signal from the smart trainer. After 10 minutes into the ride, I realized that I forgot to start the video capture. I was so upset. Somewhat venting for a few minutes. i decided to continue, instead of restart. I decided to ride an extra 10 minutes after the loop was complete. So, I kept going. A good chunk of the ride was riding through London. The climb felt good. I was doing better as the climb progressed. There's a short climbing segment that's timed. I think I did it in about 7 minutes and change. About top 40 or 50. From there, it was mostly downhill, going back into town. I put in a good dig in the tunnel riser. Nearing 10 W/kg. After that, I made my way back to the start/finish. I made it there in under 50 minutes. Then I continued for another 10 minutes as I planned. That put me in the ballpark of 1 hour in the saddle. So, it all worked out. I commenced the cool-down phase, shortly after. Concentration was good. Balance and form was good. Gear worked well. Ailments, none. Nutrition, I drank about 3/4 of my Gatorade. Other notes, there were over 7000 riders when I hopped on for the first time.
