It was supposed to rain today. I took my usual early nap and then got up. The sky was partly cloudy, and the wind was going North. So, I decided to ride to WS. I wore the standard winter kit. The legs felt good from the start. When I reached the end of OTR, I pulled over to take off my jacket. I wasn't sure what it was going to be like for the remainder of the ride. I made my way up the 1 mile climb. I was getting cold, so I pulled over at the summit and put my jacket back on. I wore it for the remainder of the ride. I was going into a headwind, but it was moderate. I kept my pace steady all the way to WS. No heroics. I made the turn around and headed back. No stopping. As it normally is, it's the first mile that takes getting used to. After that, with a tailwind, it's fun and games. Before I knew it, I was at tucker and on the last major climb. The climb went quick, and I didn't have to red-line it much. I made my way back down Highline. About 300 yards from the summit, the GoPro battery ran out, so I pulled over to swap them out. From there it was straight to OTR and back home. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some mild knee soreness that came and went. Gear worked great. The charity app worked today. Nutrition, I drank most of my Gatorade and a few sips of water. I had no signs of hunger. Other notes, I saw the police pass me about 3 or 4 times. I'm guessing they are patrolling the streets to enforce the "Stay at home" situation. I saw 2 or 3 cyclists today and some runners.
