Today's weather was nice. Somewhere in the low 80's, upper 70's. Winds from the North-West. I wore the standard kit. I felt good from the start. But I'm recovering from a case of saddle soreness. I'm doing what I can to mitigate it. It's somewhat painful to stay in the saddle. But not so much that I can't ride. My thinking is that I'm going to do some short rides until I can get this ailment under control. As for the ride. I got to the top of the descent in average time. I cruised the downhill, getting out of the saddle to relieve pressure. I'd say it helped some. The return trip was half pain mitigation and keeping the right tempo going. They both worked out for the most part. I had two digs, one over the loop monument and the other over the summit. I did steady tempo in between. Concentration was good for the most part. Very few lapses and I didn't have to coach a whole lot. Ailments consisted, of course, the saddle soreness, some numbness in the hands. I was able to shake of the numbness on the later parts of the climb. Balance and Form is ok. But, do to the sit bone situation, I had a lean. Gear is working well, no problems. I was thinking of purchasing an extra battery. But first I want to see how many hours I can use it before it needs to be recharged. So far, it's needs to be charged about once every week. So about 8 to 10 hours of riding. And that's to the point that the battery starts blinking, which indicates that it has about 1/2 charge remaining. I've also bought some other stuff like handlebar tape and helmet pads.
