Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was a great day to go riding in the afternoon. It was in the 80's with clouds. Wind from the North West. I wore the standard kit. I woke up not knowing what ride I wanted to do. I decided to do a Willow + Keene ride. I felt somewhat sluggish at the start. By the time I made it to Route 202, my legs felt more alive. I did moderate tempo for the 1st mile up Highline. I got out of the saddle frequently to keep the momentum going. After reaching the summit, I cruised the rest of the way. Mostly focusing on balance and form. Still trying to dial it in. My left leg just doesn't feel like it's hooking up. I'm guessing it has to do with fore-aft cleat position, perhaps seat height. After making it to Willow Springs, I turned around and started with modest tempo. I picked up the pace as I went along. I made a dig over the last few kickers. Near maximum. When I reached the summit, I stopped because I noticed that my cadence was not displaying on the computer. I couldn't figure it out. I think it needed to be rebooted, but I didn't want to try because I didn't want to have two sets of metrics. It was mostly fun and games coming down OTR. I was able to recover. Once I reached WTR, I put it in cruise control till I reached the summit. Then another fun and games descent to the Keene. I was able to practice my tuck position. Coming back, I felt average. It took about 1 mile to get my climbing legs back. After that I was able to do moderate to high tempo. I kept it like this for the entire climb. I put one dig over the loop monument. After reaching the summit, I pulled over and recovered for a minute. Then coasted and soft pedaled most of the way back. I was fatigued when I got back, but I wasn't completely spent. Concentration was spot on with few lapses. Ailments were next to none, some minor pains in the lower back. The usual sense of fatigue, but not impossible. I stretched to keep these in check. Balance and form continues to be a challenge. I'm thinking maybe to raise the saddle by an 1/8th of an inch increments. More on this later. Gear is working well, although the speed/cadence sensors were not detected. Other notes, there were no other cyclists today.
