Positives from today's ride: A day off of work in the clinic, which the staff supports & covers to help me ride & be less grouchy. Cloudy & a little bit chilly but entirely rideable weather. Riding w/ Henry, as the corona wave perhaps starts to wane. The Edge 1000 back on line w/ my corrected data fields & synced to all my cadence & power meter sensors, & even 3 of my lights (not sure what that tells me or let's me do, but when I turn the Edge on, don't point the lights at your eyes, or you will see a big red & white cloud for 10 minutes). I heard some spring peepers for the 1st time this year. Jonquils are up & blooming, as are some little roadside wildflowers. Got to see & talk to Mr. Carrico & his family of little Hotrod Biker Dudes in the RGUMC parking lot. Chili's take-out dinner w/ family, hot tub & listening to Flyers hockey afterward. Negatives were: Late start b/c I had to go back for the forgotten phone after being on 460 & checking all pockets - had to have tunes. Still forgot my bike bag in my office, so no tubes or tools or meds - but no flats, no bee-stings, no wrecks to need Yunnan Paiyou for, and lighter since climbing poorly still. Bugs is out, so keep your mouth closed! About 10 dogs to deal with, 3 from 1 house that were perfect clones of each other. Reverse Kimberling via Weesendonck route has 4 or 5 (thankfully) short 9-16% grades!! Sore R arm holding that handlebar x 3 hrs, after partial tears of 4 forearm & upper arm muscles 2 weeks ago. Could only eat half my fajitas. Flyers lost.
