Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Well, today was a horrible day for mechanicals. I ended up with a double flat. I tried to patch the second flat, but it didn't hold up. Otherwise... The weather was great. In the low 80's upper 70's, winds primarily from the north west. I wore the standard kit. I got out somewhere near the time I wanted to. Maybe 30 minutes later. My legs were heavy to start and took more than OTR to get warmed up. After making it to the summit of Highline, my legs started to come around. The winds were unusual going out to WS. It started with a tailwind and the last 3rd was a headwind. on the way back was the opposite, of course. As I was making my way back, there was some debris that I ran over. Looked to be thorn bushes. That's where I got the double puncture. The front tire went flat in about 1 mile and the rear went flat as I was half way up the Banducci climb. Suffice it to say, I fixed the front flat. When I got to Bright Lake, it was apparent that the rear tire had a slow leak. I had only patches left and 2 catridges of CO2. Once I removed the inner tube, I found the puncture and patched it. It looked like it was going to work. I inflated the tire with the 2 remaining cartridges. The pressure looked good, so I commenced the climb. When I reached the summit, I called home and told mom and dad to meet me at the mailboxes with a floor pump and stuff. I thought I was going to make it out to SS, but after getting off the phone, I noticed that the rear tire had lost its pressure. So, I had to scratch SS. I ended up going back to the mailboxes from there. Mom and dad came with the extra stuff I needed. I fixed the flat, took on some fluids and continued the ride. The ride went well after that point. When I reached the top of the descent, I fed, took on some more fluids and started the downhill. I soft-pedaled the downhill, I tried to keep my legs warm. When I reached the base, I turned around immediately and started the climb. My legs were good the entire way. At least I was able to salvage this part of the ride. My legs felt good, no serious ailments. Concentration was spot on, for the parts of the ride where I didn't have mechanicals. I was able to keep a cool head and focus on the ride. Ailments were next to none, fortunately. My left hip is still mildly sore. It didn't escalate during the ride. Balance and form was the lesser. My right leg just didn't feel like it was hooking up right. I'm wanting to say that my saddle/shoe position is good, but I have a muscular imbalance. That's my best guess. As to how to fix this, I'm assuming by weight training, stretches and careful observations. Gear worked good for the most part. The gopro ran out of batteries after about 3 hours into the ride. I had the power bank connected, but when I checked the camera, the batteries had been all but depleted. I'm wanting to say that the batteries in the camera were getting depleted faster than the power bank could charge them. I had the power cable connected to the battery pac. I'm going to try connecting it to the camera directly, but I need a skeleton case first. Other notes, I saw 8 deer as I was making my way up OTR. I pulled over several times to take photos. I'm not sure if it was captured on video. Also, thanks to mom and dad for bailing me out so that I could salvage the ride.
