I took it easy today, as planned. I had lab earlier, so I had to fast during the morning hours. I got out a bit late. The weather was somewhat hot, but overcast. Humid and turbulent wind conditions. My legs were heavy to start. I felt warmed up by the end of OTR. The turbulent wind conditions made it difficult to gauge my immediate form. Nevertheless, I did the ride mostly moderate tempo. I put in a short dig over the Banducci wall. Today's ride was more of a dress rehearsal. I wanted to see what it will be like to swap out the batteries and SD card in the Gopro camera. I planned it in my mind. I stopped after crossing the road at the beginning of the climb on CVR. Here was my experience in that respect... I stopped, unplugged the power cable, opened the housing, at which point the top cover came off and fell to the ground. I got the battery/sd card bag out of my right jersey pocket. Changed the SD Card, changed the batteries. Put the camera back in the housing. Picked up the fallen lid. It took me a minute or two to figure out how to put it back together. After that, I plugged the cable back in and then pressed the shutter button. It commenced recording and I completed my ride. Concentration was good. Balance and form was also good. I tried different pedaling styles and I discovered that I should toe down when I'm feeling an imbalance. I will try this on the next ride. Ailments were next to none. I did feel some soreness on the right glut. It felt like deep tissue soreness. Something I haven't experienced before. Gear is working well. I'll likely return the housing I bought and keep the new one I ordered from Gopro. Other notes, I have 2 more rides and I have to decide if I want to do another triple, or if 2 doubles will suffice.
