Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was a normal training ride, but including a dress rehersal for operating the Gopro camera. My practices were based on changing the memory card and batteries. I know that I'll have to swap out the memory cards an least once. I'll have to change a new set of batteries once, if the battery bank doesn't last beyond 6.5 - 7 hours. In practice, I noticed that I tended to drop things on the ground. I just don't have enough hands to hold everything. When I have to change the batteries and the memory card, that's three things I have to worry about that I'm putting in, and taking out. I'm thinking that, if I need to swap out the memory card, I should do that while it's in the housing. Then change the batteries. What I found helpful, was to tuck the things I can't carry in the very bottom front of my jersey. Remove the batteries, then swap them. I still don't have this stream-lined, so I'll definitely rehearse it more when I ride on Monday. As for the ride... The weather was warm. Say, mid 80's winds from the north west. I wore the standard kit. I think I have things dialed in. The bike is working great. My body feels good. I was practicing a heal up/toe down pedaling style. It seems to help my balance and form. I kept today's pace modest. Highline started with a slight tailwind. But shortly after the mile climb, the wind did a 180. It was more of the same (opposite) on the return. I raised the tempo on the return from WS. Again, practicing the heal-up technique. I felt a better sense of balance. As usual, on this double. I stopped at the mailbox and swapped out bottles. I continued at a gentle pace. I had to get warmed up again, and the short climb to the start of the descent was exactly what I needed. I cruised the downhill, mostly fun and games. When I reached the base, I took a quick peak on the porta-potty to see if it had hooks to put clothing. It did not, but did have a handle on the inside. From there, I turned around and continued. I was thinking where to pit for another Gopro rehearsal. I did it at the Chavez center entrance. I fumbled a bit, but got it done. The next few miles was more of the same. I kept the pace moderate and saved a match or two for the more steeper sections. I made a last rehearsal stop at the second riser. After that, I rode the remainder without stopping. When I got to the summit, I stopped and did another Gopro rehearsal. I rode my way home, mostly fun and games from there. Other notes, I still have to get my routine straight in regards to viewing the Gopro camera activity light. The new skeleton housing blocks the view somewhat. I stopped a total of 5 times to practice the camera situation. Therre were many cyclists out today. Mostly in packs and twos, threes and fours. I was able to do this ride without any feeding. But I'm thinking, that 2.5 hours will be my feeding limit on the GranFondo. I'll likely have to force myself to stop at 2 to 3 hours and then 2 to 3 hours after that.
Other notes, I got out about 2 hours earlier than the previous rides. I want to get out 1 to 2 hours earlier on Monday's ride.
