Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's ride was mostly a recon ride. I figured out a way to remember my timeline. I made a printout that fits the length of the power bank that will be mounted to the top tube. Based on today's ride, it looks visible with a glance. I also practiced swapping out batteries and memory cards. If everything goes according to plan, I'll likely have to swap memory cards every 3.5 to 4 hours. Which means 3 times. Batteries, once, towards the end of the ride. As for today's ride... The weather was great. A bit warm, but some cloud cover, so it was very comfortable. My legs felt sluggish to start, but came around by the time I reached the Banducci wall. I was able to do good tempo up the wall. Out of the saddle alot, but within my limits. The remainder of the climb was moderate tempo. The wind was turbulent today. But mostly winds from the north west. There was a headwind on the way out to SS, I did moderate tempo most of the way. I kept that tempo going over the summit. I made it to the tunnel in just over 1 hour. I practiced swapping out camera batteries/sd card here. From that point, I put in my mind to focus on the ride, till I got to the start of CVR climb. I need to be able to stay in the zone for the majority of the ride, with minimal distractions. I swapped out the SD card at the base and a battery/sd card change at the summit. I also took a feed break at the summit. From there, it was mostly fun and games. I ended up doing a circuit around the back of White Pine, just to see what the roads are like. They appear to be well paved. The road kicks up above 6.5% just after the stop sign. A quick descent on the other side. Just as I remembered. Ailments were next to none. I decided not to wear a saddle patch. My saddle sores are minimal. I still have to keep things clean. I think I'll be ok in this regard. I had some minor aches here and there. Most of which lasted a minute or two. Concentration was very good. I was able to focus on my practice camera handling and the other half of the ride, being in the zone. Balance and form was good. I'm practicing new pedaling techniques. I'm shifting my heal position left/right and toe down/up. I'm doing this dynamically, depending on the various conditions. Wind, cadence, speed, etc. Gear worked perfect today. I think I have the camera situation dialed in. I have a good idea how it will behave and how to operate it with minimal preoccupation. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
