Eleven Loiterers left Uxbridge on the short ride making for elevenses at The White House, Stockley Park. After refreshments we left the Sunday even shorter group (Jane, Leslie, John J, and Clive) awaiting their breakfast to cycle on across Botwell Common to Join the Canal at Hayes.
We left the canal at North Hyde and headed through largely quiet roads to Heston and on to Osterley Park. The grounds of Osterley were very busy as we made our way though to Norwood Green and lunch at The Plough. Dave T left us here while Colin F, Colin S, Graham, Jim H, Phil, and I settled down to lunch in the sunny garden.
After lunch we rejoined the canal and cycled down Hanwell locks to join the path along the River Brent which led us under the Uxbridge road and Wharncliffe Viaduct to the ‘Bunny Park’. Leaving the park we continued to Greenford and Perivale Park then on to Northala Park, which was also teeming with people out enjoying the sun, for tea where we were joined by John M.
After tea the group dispersed to cycle home.
