On the short ride were Gerry, Liliane, Lawrie, Colin S, Jim H, Graham , David T, Peter & Ann H, and me.
We rode out of Uxbridge, through the golf course to Denham and on to Harefield to elevenses at The Village Cafe, a new stop for us, which is bigger than it looks from the outside and the tea and coffee is very reasonably priced. The food looks good as well.
Leaving Harefield we cycled to Batchworth Heath, down through the Moor Park estate to Tolpits Lane. Onward we joined the Edbury Way leaving it to travel through Croxley Business Park to join the Grand Union Canal. Crossing the canal at Common Moor Lock, up Mill Lane to lunch at the Red House PH.
After lunch we cycled down to Rickmansworth to join the canal at Batchworth Lock. We continued through the Aquadrome and canal to Springer’s Lane and on through West Hyde to afternoon tea at The Crew Room at Denham Aerodrome. Beverages consumed we headed through Denham to Uxbridge dispersing on the way.
