Went riding with Roger today in the mid afternoon. The weather was warm, but not scorching. There was a good breeze which worked out great. Roger felt a little overheated as we got to the top of Old Town Road. He thought he had a fever, but it was just the tempo that he set that was causing him to overheat. We went at our own pace, so I think that worked out well for him in the end. At the stallion springs loop, Roger went left, I went straight and we met at the bridge. The way back was good tempo, I gapped Roger on a few moments, so I had to wait for him at certain landmarks. Although the tempo was moderate, I was able to give a few 100% digs. Ailments, pretty much none, just the heat of the weather. I had just enough water and gatorade to make it home. I told Roger that we'll have to bring money to buy more fluids when it gets hotter during the summer. The gorpo is working well, although it powered down about 5-10 minutes before the end of the ride. I don't think this is a problem, however, because there were moments where I was waiting for a few minutes. Those minutes added up... The bike is working well, no dropped chain. Concentration was pretty good. Balance was good, but not great. I noticed that sitting further back in the saddle helps a little bit.
