Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was the second rehab ride. The weather was great. In the low 70's winds from the south. I decided to go north-west this time. I road to the top of WTR. Then I decided to add on an extra mile or two going up Pinon Canyon Road. I did most of the ride in the saddle. I got some interesting results. There were times when I just wanted to get out of the saddle, but I couldn't because of the pains. So, I slowed the pace, through it into a smaller gear and spun my way up the risers. This was also the second day with the new saddle position. Initial impressions for today was encouraging. I felt like I could put more torque into the pedals while in the saddle. I'm guessing I'll have to try this position over the next few weeks, perhaps make adjustments here and there. In terms of how my body responded... Of course, my ribs limited my effort siginifcantly. I could hardly surpass 13BPM HR. My legs behaved oddly. My lower legs were getting sore, kind of cramping, but not injury-like. I'm not sure what to make of it yet, but my best guess is that by not being able to get out of the saddle, my legs couldn't expel the lactic acid build-up. Gear is working well. Gopro camera continues to work nominally. I'm still considering when to upgrade to 11 Speed. Other notes, I like the look/feel/fit of my new helmet.
