Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I was hesitant to get out for an outdoor ride. The smartphone said it was about 90 something degrees. I decided to go for it. I figured I'll have to ride in this weather when Peggy gets here. Might as well get used to it. I bumped the side of my right knee yesterday, so it's a bit sore. It didn't detract from the ride much. The legs felt average to start. I took it easy going up OTR. I made it to the summit in average time. More of the same going up the Banducci Wall. There was some traffic mitigation too. I was able to increase the tempo on the last half of the climb to the summit. I was debating on going to SS. I told myself that I'd go there if the wind conditions were favorable. When I reached the summit, the wind was heading east. So, I decided to head out to SS. When I was near the entrance, there were some clouds that appeared to be giving off rain. I kept an eye on it. I made my way around the backside and headed downhill. I forgot to check my time at the tunnel. But, it was around 1:07-sh hours. I sped my way through town and got back on the farmland roads. When I reached Pellisier, I noticed the wind conditions had picked up a bit. I had an almost perfect tailwind, so I was able to maintain a 25 MPH+ tempo for a little while. Somewhere at this point, I noticed that it started to sprinkle. I was trying to stay optimistic. When I reached the last climb, it started to rain more. For about 3 to 5 minutes, the rain came down quite significantly. There appeared to be all sorts of soot on the ground that had been lifted from the tarmac. It smelled foul. I decided not to drink from the bottles till I reached the summit, so that I can clean them. That's precisely what I did. I kept the tempo moderate and steady. No point in red-lining it. After reaching the summit, I pulled over and swapped out the GoPro battery. I cleaned out the bottle caps with a paper towel. From there, it was back onto Route 202. Some traffic mitigation to OTR. From that point, it was smooth sailing. Concentration was good, despite being rained on. Balance and form was good. Ailments, the leg muscles were a bit sore from yesterday's strength training session. The right knee didn't bother too much. Gear held up perfect. Nutrition was good. I had all my Gatorade and about half of the water. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
