I was having muscle problems on the right leg. I let it heal for a few days. Staying off the bike in the meantime. Today was the first ride in about 3 days. Perfect day to go to Keene. The legs felt average to start. Making it to the summit of the descent in about 12 minutes. I cruised the downhill. Giving two efforts over the risers. I made it to the base. I didn't bother checking the time. I headed back, no stopping. The ascent went fast. The legs felt good. The temperature and wind conditions were ideal. I was ticking over the landmarks. After making it past the Loop Monument and the first dip, I was able to relax a bit. I kept the tempo going till I reached the summit. No red-lining till I reached the top of the ascent. I think I peaked at about 161 BPM for a few moments. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about and the morale was good. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some hand numbness. Gear worked flawless. Will have to oil the chain soon. Nutrition was good. I had most of my Gatorade, a few sips of water. Other notes, no cyclists today. There were some spectators at the Loop Monument, but no trains to be seen.
