The weather is a bit cooler and I got out earlier than last time. The legs felt better today. I decided to stretch instead of doing core strength training, yesterday. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall went as it normally does. Some traffic mitigation and just grinding through the small gears. The remainder was steady tempo to the summit. I took a few moments rest when I got there. The timer showed a bit over 38 minutes. A good average time. Checked the GoPro camera. It was at 67%. So, plenty of charge remaining. About 1 minute later, I headed downhill. It was lots of fun. Approaching 42 MPH in my tuck. After reaching the base, I made my way to SS. Doing moderate tempo. I made my way around the backside and then descended into town. I reached the tunnel in about 1:02-ish minutes and change. I spared no time and headed back. I had a modest tail-wind on Banducci and cross-tail on most of the farmland roads. I made it to Boss Hogs in about 1:25 hours. So, I gave up about 3 minutes. When I got to the base of the last climb, I checked the GoPro. It had enough time to make it to the summit. So, I got back on the road and made my way up. I kept the tempo steady and kept my momentum going through the last kicker. I pulled over to swap out the GoPro battery and then got back on the road. Route 202 was mostly traffic mitigation for the first half, then I was able to increase the speed while in the middle of the car lane. After reaching OTR, it was mostly fun and games. The morale was feeling a lot better at this point in time. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about. Apparently, the 2021 Spooktacular rides are going to be held this year. Pending their announcement. Balance and form felt pretty good. Ailments, some left hand numbness while out of the saddle on climbs. Gear worked perfect. Nutrition was spot on. I drank all of my Gatorade and at least half of my water. I brought a third bottle of Gatorade, but didn't need it. Other notes, not a single cyclist out there.
