I was going to get out earlier but I was doing some work on the bike and it took much longer than I expected, luckily I missed the rain... it was a cool, humid, damp and very low wind night so much so I thought something was wrong! I reinstalled my iBike head unit that is also a power meter, so the first 5 miles was a calibration ride and warmup. Just as I began the ride proper the Garmin bracket broke, luckily I had a lanyard connected to it, if not for bad luck I would not have good luck, LOL! I put the Garmin in my pocket and used the iBike for my ride info. This was supposed to be an easy ride but because everything felt so good, I ended up riding much harder than intended. It was amazing riding with the wind below 5 mph. While riding down Rte 70 just past Presidential Lakes going East towards Country Lakes, I seen two cyclist riding with two rear blinking lights each but no front lights on the wrong side of the road, The road at this point, is very dark no street lights. A vehicle not paying attention could easily wonder onto the shoulder and hit them, what were they thinking? I had a little over 10 miles to go and it seemed, in no time I was finished! Oh unbeknown to me at the time my HR monitor was working on and off and totally died about a third way into the ride. So, no my HR is not that low! That's another thing I need to check the battery and strap. Nothing will change the fact it was a great night to ride!
