Went on a solo ride today. Weather was great, in the 70's with a northerly wind. I did average time to the top of the descent, before Keene. On the way down, I did pushed it here and there. Probably cut a minute or two from the overall ride time. On the way back, I felt pretty good. Did some good digs, but not a heroic ride. Ailments, no real ailments, a little tingling in my right hand for the last 2 miles to the top. I shook it off, it wasn't too bad. The heart rate strap came in, but I didn't check the mail before the ride, so I rode without one. The GoPro is working well, but with one little snag. At the top of the climb (on the way back), it locked up and I had to remove the batter to reset it. Other than that, it worked perfectly. I took some photos just a little past the yellow gate (at the top). The panorama looks great, and is a perfect contrast with the one I took earlier in the year. On the way down (going back home), I was doig 35 MPH well before the last downhill roller. That motivated me to getup to 40 MPH. My GPS showed 40.8MPH (max). Fun stuff! I'm going to scout out the Old Town Road and see if there is still gravel in the road. Hopefully go for a Tour de Teh ride on Monday.
Not sure if I mentioned this, but I took a Panorama photo on this day.
