Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was a big one, as I planned. I got out as early as I could. The weather is great. Sunny, on the cool side, some wind from the North East. The legs felt pretty good to start. I wore a thick base layer and arm warmers. 2 bottles of Gatorade and 1 bottle of water. OTR went well. I made it to the end in good average time. When I was on my way up OTR, I noticed that I had my Fidlock adapter attached to the handlebar from the previous ride. I forgot to remove it from the previous ride. I decided to stash it. When I reached the summit of OTR, I pulled over and placed it inside some bushes. From there I headed out to WS. At this point, I was able to gauge the wind a bit better. It was modest, to the West. I kept the tempo steady. No red-lining it. After reaching the turn-around, I think I checked my GoPro, all was well. The return was fairly quick, with a nice tailwind. The Banducci wall had minimal traffic, so I was able to concentrate better on my tempo. I was at 90% going over the top. The Alpine Forest went well. I just had to be patient. I was saving some matches for later. After reaching Lemans, I was close to max. The backside of the Alpine Forest was fun. Going downhill with a slight tailwind. I think I reached 42 or 43 MPH. When I reached the summit of Banducci, I pulled over to hydrate. The GoPro battery was at full charge. I let some traffic by, then headed down the mountain and into CV. At this point, I had to take a bio break. When I reached the farmlands, I found a porta-potty. I spared no hesitation and used it. I felt much better after conducting my business. I made my way to SS. When I reached the summit of the backside, I pulled over to clean out the cleats. When I stopped for a bio break, I had to walk over some loose dirt. It was clinging to my cleats. Shortly after, I headed down and into town. I arrived at the tunnel in about 2:10 hours. As I was making my way around the backside, I noticed some activity. There was some sort of fair going on. So, I cautiously went through the "non-drivable" zones. The legs were feeling pretty good. A bit of fatigue. I made my way back on Banducci. The wind had picked up a bit. I was going into a headwind at this point. I was maintaining no more than 15 MPH. Going north was just as bad, into a cross headwind. I kept the tempo steady. I reached Boss Hogs in about 2:40 hours. So, I gave up at least 10 minutes on the return. Not so bad. When I arrived at the base of the last climb, I pulled over to feed. I ate one Cliff Bar. Shortly after, I got back on the road. I had to let the legs warm up before settling into a moderate tempo. When I reached the summit, I kept my momentum going. Some stretching and letting off the tempo to recover. Route 202 was mostly traffic mitigation. When I made it back to OTR, I pulled over to get the Fidlock adapter where I stashed it from earlier in the ride. From there it was downhill. It was mostly fun and games to home. Concentration was pretty good. Minimal gremlins on the road. The morale was good. I had stuff to think about to keep me company. The music helped. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some hand numbness on the greater out of the saddle climbs. The quads and calves were getting sore, but I was able to mitigate them by stretching, alternating pedaling techniques, and remaining hydrated. Gear worked well. Although the power meter isn't working properly. The power reading drops out when I'm pedaling at a steady pace. It acquires a signal when I get out of the saddle. Nutrition was good. I had most of my Gatorade and about half my water. Other notes, I saw many cyclists out there. Probably 10 or so, and some runners. I saw a wild animal on OTR. It looked like a coyote or perhaps a wolf.
