Great day for a quick ride. I slept in a bit today. I decided to ride to the Walmart Bike Path. The weather is cool, winds from the south. Preferable for this route. I wore knees, arms and a thick base layer. I was sufficiently comfortable. The legs felt good to start. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. I did moderate tempo to the Walmart Bike Path. I kept an easy tempo on the way out. And, a bit more on the way back. The return trip was a treat. I was able to stomp the pedals over the Highline climb. The descent was pretty fast. Nearing 40 MPH. After getting back to OTR, it was mostly fun and games. Concentration was good. I needed a simple ride today. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Gear worked perfect. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I had about half my Gatorade and some water. Other notes, no other cyclists today. There were some walkers on the Walmart Bike path.
