A fantastic day in the Fall. I decided to head out to the Alpine Forest Summit and back. The weather is great! In the upper mid to upper 60's. Winds from the North East. I wore arms, knees and a thick base layer. The legs felt good to start. I raised my saddle by about a quarter inch or so. it feels good. I made it to the end of OTR in good time. I decided to take off my knee warmers while I was there. I received my new phone yesterday, so this was the perfect place to test out the speed of the mobile wifi. Turns out that this part of the ride had a dead-spot in coverage. The signal looked strong, but the speed was not so great. I forgot to restart my GoPro camera. I didn't realize it until I neared the summit of Banducci. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. The Alpine Forest went fast. I weighed in about 136 lbs before the ride. I think I've gained mostly muscle. I feel a bit stronger. I was mashing the pedals when I reached the speed bumps and was able to keep the power down till Lemans. I was at max when I got there. I made my way around the backside and headed to the summit of Banducci. I checked my GoPro and my new smartphone. The GoPro had plenty of charge remaining. The smartphone had a better signal there. Shortly after, I headed back down the mountain. As I was descending, I realized that I forgot to take some photos. So, I decided to stop at the local Bright Lake and take a few photos. I've yet to check them out. After reaching the base of Banducci, I made my way to OTR. From there, it was mostly fun and games. Concentration was good. I had few lapses. I had a few things on my mind that kept me occupied. The morale was good. Balance and form was good. I don't know what it is, but going east on Banducci, on the way down, I always feel a lean to the left. I don't think it's the wind, but perhaps the camber of the road. Ailments were minimal. Some hand soreness. Gear worked perfect. Nutrition was good. Other notes, I saw two Cmax's while I was in the Alpine forest. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I had about 3/4ths of my Gatorade. No water.
