Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was the first time in a while that I was able to go for an outdoor ride. The weather is cold and sunny. I wore the full winter kit. My right knee is still hurting ever so slightly. So, I was very careful in my effort on today's ride. I decided to go out to Highline as that was the route with the easiest climbing. OTR was the perfect test for my knee. I was still feeling some tenderness, but it was manageable and I wasn't pushing further into injury. After reaching the summit of OTR, I decided to continue to Highline. The wind was from the North East, so I there was a headwind on the way out. I kept it in the low gears. Trying to spin more than grind. I was in and out of the saddle. I was careful not to put too much pressure when getting out of the saddle. I took my time. When I reached the summit, I felt good enough to continue. I made my way to the Walmart Bike Path. After riding a few hundred yards into it. I decided to turn around at the second juncture. I could feel the knee giving more signs, so I thought that was the appropriate thing to do. I made my way back to Highline on the return. There was a generous tailwind. I felt pretty good on the climb. Not too much mitigation as per the knee pains. When I wasn't out of the saddle, I was in the low gears spinning it out. After making it back to OTR, I was able to relax. I had to stop to replace the GoPro battery. From there, it was mostly fun and games. I was careful while getting out of the saddle. I was favoring my left leg when putting the first pedal stroke. Or, up on the left. Concentration was good. The morale was there. Music was good. Ailments, left knee. Some hints on the right knee. Balance and form was good. My cleats are centered (left / right). I'm going to keep it there for the next few rides. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. Other notes, I was on the limit of a bio-break sign. I barely made it back in time. No other cyclist stoday.
