Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was a good overall ride, weather and the experience. The weather was cool, in the low 60's. Winds from the North. I wore arms, knees, 1 base layer. I felt good going out the door. I haven't been on the bike for several days. Those days off had some sort of a tapering effect. I made it to the summit of WTR in average time. I pretty much cruised it to the summit. The descent was half fun and games and a bit of a push there-after. When I reached the base of the loop, there were some trucks on their way down to the base. Looked like they were going to offload some earth. There was one behind me. I had two choices, try to out ride him, or pull over. I chose the former. So, all in all, I descended faster than I normally do. No serious digs or red-lining. After reaching the base, I spared no time, and started the climb. I could immediately feel that my body was going to respond well today, and it did. I didn't have that feeling of, "this climb is going to take forever". Quite the opposite. It went fast. Partially due to the weather, cool, and a tailwind. But also in concentration. I was able to hold moderate to good tempo the entire time and I put in a good dig over the summit. Concentration today was probably the greater of things. I was in the zone with minimal gremlins chasing. Balance and form felt good. I was square on the pedals and was able to tick them over with good efficiency. Ailments consist of a sore right wrist. It's been sore for the past few days. Hopefully will return to normal in a week or so. Gear is working well. I used a new chain lube and it looks to be working well. It's a wax based dry lube. Other notes, I noticed that the small bump I have on my back appears slightly discolored. I made an appointment with my Dr. and will see what his diagnosis is. No other cyclists today. They continue to do work near the train loop. Lots of excavation and road work near the tracks.
