Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Today's weather was nice and cool, around the low 60's, winds from the North West. I wore the standard kit, 1 base layer. I felt good from the start. I made good time to the top of the descent. It didn't take me long to get warmed up. I rode the downhill in moderate tempo, soft pedaling most of the way. After reaching the base, I turned around (no rest) and commenced the climb. After about 1/4 mile, I knew I was in for a good one. I started moderate up and then put it into good tempo. When I reached the steep sections, I put most of my cookies into it, going high tempo. I kept this tempo going over the loop monument, putting in a dig. I stretched on the short reprieve, stretching out my back. I continued to keep good tempo, sometimes high, for the remainder of the ride. I put a dig in, over the top. From that point it was fun and games, descending with a tailwind. My concentration was spot on today. Hardly a hint of gremlins. I was in the zone for the majority of the climb. Ailments consisted of a sore lower back. Mitigated by stretching at every opportunity. My right wrist continues to be sore. I'm not sure if it was accidental or related to repetitive computer work. My right knee was slightly sore before the start of the ride, but never escalated and was unnoticeable during the ride. Balance and form felt good. I was on top of the pedals for the better part of the ride. Gear is working well. No mishaps or problems. Minimal noises from the bike. Overall, today's ride put in a solid time.
