Great day to get out. Didn't want to pass this one up. I ended up going to the Alpine Forest summit, then up Highline and I added an extra half mile climb into a residential area before heading back. The legs felt pretty good to start. The knees are cooperating. It's about 70 something, so I wore my arm coolers and a base layer. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. Arosa was pleasant as usual. I didn't bother to check my HR over the top, but it was near 160 BPM by my reconning. I made my way to the summit of Banducci and took a minute to recoup and let traffic by. Shortly after, I headed back down the mountain. Descending off the Banducci Wall was fun. As planned, I headed up to the summit of Highline. I had a tailwind. I pulled into a street at the summit. There was a modest climb to the next block, so I decided to give it a look. It probably added a hundred feet of climbing. Minimal traffic. I made a U-shaped route that got me back to Highline. From there, I made my way back to OTR. From there, I just had to get over Mariposa, then back. Concentration was good. Some hints of gremlins here and there. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I had about half my Gatorade, no water. Ailments, some hand numbness while out of the saddle. Gear worked flawless. Sill some mystery creaks, but it didn't persist through out the ride. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
