After the three days of Allegrippis Trail Days, followed by two more days of rain, followed by blown prediction of more rain today, took a chance that trails might be dry enough to ride locally .... annnnnnd they were! A few puddles here and there; most of the dips in the man-made trails had a very thin layer of mud (where a puddle had been) and there were a few outright mudholes to navigate but all in all not bad. Temps in the high 60s and maybe got to 70 but still warm enough for one shirt, not layers. And! Pollen must have been a little less today because for first time in a long time did not find myself gasping for air after every climb. Heart rate stayed under 150. Granted, that route isn't terribly climby but felt better after 16 miles than I did Friday after 3...
