Did the upper section cuz we were curious about how it held up after all the rain. The answer? Meh. Wasn't overall as bad as it could be but there was still quite a few mudholes.
But as usual, the section from 1.6 to 3.8 is mostly unrideable most of the time because it's always wet. Too bad.
This was the first time in many months we'd ridden this trail, even though it's within a mile of Dan's house. So we were completely shocked by the bridge at 8.4 over what amounts to a deep drainage chasm that MIGHT have been a creek but is right next to that busy road.
Previously it was an unrideable stream crossing at the bottom of a 20 foot ditch. After getting over the shock, rode Copperhead both ways... such a well-designed, machine-made challenging trail equally good in either direction meaning and out-and-back on it is not the least bit annoying.
Not a lot of climbing on this route but enough short sharp ones to get your attention. Felt pretty good; breathing seems normal; legs good.
