Went on a solo ride today. The weather was warm, but not as muh as the previous ride. Fortunately, today's wind was coming from the north. So that meant tailwind for most of the return trip. Thank goodness, there was no road constructions, and all the roads were passable without any danger to me or the bike. I felt good today. The first few miles, I could tell that my legs were going to need a bit more of a warmup than usual. My feeling was correct, so by the time I hit the Banducci wall, I was feeling pretty good. I did good tempo the whole ride. Didn't really redline it much, except at the crest of each SS loop. No serious ailments, but some numbness in the right hand, shaking that off seemed to do the trick. I fed on the 3rd (last) lap, at the top of SS. Then got drinks from the mini-mart and headed home from there. The return trip was good. No real problems. The Gopro locked up, and I had to reset it at the Mini-mart, as that was when I noticed it. I cleaned the right pedal, and that seemed to help the squeeking problem. But, if I pivot my right foot while applying pressure, it does squeek some. I also noticed a hint of creaking again. I'm not sure where it's coming from, but it happens both in and out of the saddle. The GPS is working perfectly. In the end, I really was exhausted. The last half of the ride was pretty fast tempo.
