Bob's plan was to do an FTP test on OLH. On the way there, I didn't feel that great and didn't think I was going to do it.
At the start, Doug took off. Bob set a reasonable pace that Sonny and I were able to follow. I didn't feel like I was putting in a max effort but I thought I would keep my watts about where I thought my FTP should be.
About 1/4 to 1/3 of the way up I decided to put in a max effort and eventually caught and dropped Doug. The only problem now was I didn't really know when the 20 minutes was up so I decided to go for a PR instead. Pretty happy I got it.
The rest of the ride was pretty mellow. The weather was really nice until we got closer to Pescadero where the wind picked up. All the way up Stage we had a strong headwind. That made taking it easy quite hard.
We took it easy on Tunitas until we got to the top. Not sure why we went so hard.
Descending Kings was sketchy. Several places had fine dirt and gravel that made it slippery. I passed a woman in a one of the sweeping left handers after the park not realizing there was gravel there that had taken a guy down. I was so focused on the woman that all I saw was the Ranger attending to the guy but not the guy himself. I fishtailed ever so slightly in the gravel so I was pretty fortunate to not go down myself.
We had a nice tailwind back on Foothill that we bombed.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
