Ended up with more pavement than intended, having decided to cut it short at 10.2 because: while the afternoon started out hot, high 80s, maybe a little humid, with a "chance" of rain .... the weather weenies were right for once. Got pretty dark pretty quick and arrived at home just as the drops started to fall. Glad of it, too because it was a REALLY strong downpour AND thunder AND wind. Would not have been an enjoyable way to cool off. Otherwise felt pretty good cuz, well, not even 15 miles. Try again later this week.... Lots of trees down in a lot of places from the previous heavy rain/wind; would not be surprised if there are more after this afternoon. And there were a fair number of mudholes undoubtedly refilled with water now. Pavement for a few days!
