It's much hotter now. In the upper 80's. Warm winds from the South East. I decided to go to the Alpine Forest. A short ride, but intense climbing. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. I was near max going over the top. The sun started to bare down on me at this point. The Arosa climb went as planned. I was able to settle into a tempo while keeping from over heating. Once I made it to the speed bumps, the morale felt better. Again, near max over the top. I made my way around the backside. Reaching over 40 MPH on the descents. From there, it was to the summit of Banducci. I took a few moments rest and then headed back down the mountain. There wasn't much traffic mitigation till I reached the plateau. Descending off the Banducci Wall was a treat. From there I was able to relax and do moderate tempo till I made it back home. I cooled down as soon as I made it to the top of Weston. Concentration was good. The morale felt good despite the hot weather. Balance and form felt good. I think the saddle height needs to be raised just a bit. Ailments, next to none. The right upper knee was hinting on tender on a few occasions. Nothing detracting, but again I may need to raise the saddle. Gear worked perfect. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I had most of my Gatorade and a few sips of water. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
