Neal lead us out on a hot pace which Lynn and I were obligated to honor which we did... Neal had to break off early to help his wife Nancy with family chores and injuries from solo bike accident early this morning, she is in great spirits but much pain from some deep road rash, shoulder injuries and fractured ribs! With Neal's loving care and attention she is in good hands! Neal broke off just as the wind got a little stiff just after Lynn got flat rear tire, I could hear the moment it happened as a loud snake hissing sound broke out, Neal yelled flat tire, I was pulling at the time, we pulled over and did a quick inspection but the tire looked like it was holding air but softer than the front tire. We were out in the open with the hot sun beating down on us so we crossed the road to where some nice shade was abundant. Neal and I helped Lynn do a quick tube exchange. Finally, we were off and rolling, I was a little slow to get up to speed so Lynn took the pull, Neal stayed on the other side of the road because his break off turn was just up the road, the wind seemed to pick up a bit, I tucked in tight behind Lynn as he worked his way up Rte 206, to our next turn. Somewhere on that road I took the pull so Lynn could recover from his nice fast pull. I pull us to the last section of the ride onto Oak Shade/Jackson Rd, Lynn pulled half of the road and I the last half except for the last 1/4 miles when Lynn poured it on to empty the tank, a hot ride on very hot day!
