It was warm outside, in the mid 80's. It's been a while since I've been to WS. I was planning on going to the Walmart Bike Path. When I reached the top of Highline, I noticed the windmills in WS were turning CCW. That meant the wind was from the East. So, I decided to head to WS. The legs felt good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good time. I cruised my way out to WS. No heroics. The return trip was pleasant. I was able to hold moderate tempo the entire way back. No digs over the top, I just kept the tempo going. After making it back to OTR, I was able to relax a bit on the descent. I took it easy over Mariposa. From there, it was easy peasy back home. Concentration was good. The morale felt good. I'm glad I got out. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. I had some mild right calf soreness on the return trip. It never escalated. Gear worked flawless. Nutrition was good. No hunger sings. I went through my Gatorade bottle and about half of water. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
