I was planning on going to SS today if it didn't rain, but I didn't feel like it when I got up in the morning. The weather is warm, but there's some cloud cover. So, I moved to plan 'B'. I decided to go to the Alpine Forest then do the Tour de Teh(R) ride. The legs felt pretty good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. I was able to climb the Banducci Wall without going too much into the red. More of the same on the Alpine Forest. A bit more relaxed as there was less traffic mitigation. I made my way around the backside and then headed to the summit of Banducci. I got there in about 52 minutes. I took a few moments rest, hydrated and let the cars pass. Shortly after, I headed down the mountain. I knew the trip through the farm lands was going to be quick as the wind was going to be in my favor. I reached Boss Hogs in about 1:16 Hours. Given the time, I realized I was going to make it back well under two hours. I brought a second bottle of Gatorade. I swapped it out before the beginning of the next climb. The legs were feeling a bit fatigued, so I kept the tempo moderate. No digs over the top. When I reached the summit, I pulled over to swap out the GoPro battery. I made my way to Route 202. There was some traffic mitigation at this point, so I had to make a right turn on OTR, then a U-turn to get back on track. From there, it was mostly fun and games. Loved the downhill. The air was cooling me off. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about and the music helped. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I had plenty of fluids. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. My right middle finger is a bit sore while using the brake lever. Not to detracting. I think I had some minor knee soreness that diminished as the ride progressed. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, I saw one other cyclist on his way up Banducci as I was descending it.
